Was born on October 24, 1966.
In 1984, he commenced his studies at the International Relations
and International Law Faculty of the Taras Shevchenko National
University, Kyiv. After a break for National Service, he graduated
in 1991, specialising in “International Economic Relations”.
He later gained a second degree in “International Law” at the
same university and completed postgraduate studies.
At the same time as studying at the institute, he was employed
as the financial director of a small German-Ukrainian joint
venture, and in time – at Arthur Andersen, the audit and
consulting firm, where he worked at the tax and legal department
till 1998 thru as senior manager
In 1999, he and several colleagues founded their own law
firm.
It has already been several years that firm "KM
Partners" is recognised as the best law firm in the area of
tax, and Alexander Minin is included into 25 the most famous
practicing lawyers.
Since 2005
Alexander Minin has been constantly recognised as the best tax
lawyer in Ukraine by Ukrainian Law Firms - A Handbook for Foreign
Clients, an annual independent research of Yurydychna
Praktyka Publishing house.
In Apri 2010
international law organization International Law Office
(ILO) recognized Alexander Minin as the Corporate Tax сategory
winner in Ukraine by results of the research Client Choice
Award 2010. The results were published in the ILO Client
Choice Guide 2010 handbook.
The effectiveness of Alexander Minin's advice in taxation
was highly appreciated by Best Lawyers - the oldest and
most respected peer-review publication in the legal profession that
determines best lawyers in the world by clients' references for
more than 25 years. Best Lawyers had named Alexander Minin as the
“Kyiv Best Lawyers Tax Lawyer of the Year” for 2010.

PRACTICE
In 2006 – 2007 the most significant court case, which was also
mentioned in “CHAMBERS GLOBAL – 2007”, was the support of the Lukor
court dispute against the country’s tax authorities for the sum of
more than UAH 580 million. At present, support is being provided
for a range of investment projects.
In 2008 an operation on sale of JS AvtoZAZbank
(Ukraine) to Bank of Cyprus (Cyprus) was completed.
At present some projects on significant business corporate
restructurings are in progress
